David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido, Folarin Falana also known as Falz, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun widely known as Wizkid and Yemi Alade are among the 27 Nigerians who made the Forbes Africa’s 30 under 30 list.
The list was released under three categories; Under 30 Business, Under 30 Creatives and Under 30 Technology.
Nigerians make about one-third of the list which features prospering members such as entrepreneurs, actors and actresses, artistes, fashion designers, and many others in the technology world.
Nigerians honoured in the Forbes Africa’s list include fashion designer Adebayo Oke-Lawal, actress Beverly Naya, Sonia Irabor, and Tania Omotayo and Joyce Jacob, founder of Joyce Jacob Beauty.
Those under the business category include Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed Falalu, 28, founder, FalGates; Emmanuel Ademola Ayilara, 29, founder, LanaWey Investment Limited; Ladipo Lawani, founder, L&L Foods; Anita Adetola Adetoye, 26, founder, Anita Brows Beauty; and Kene Rapu, 28, founder, Kene Rapu.
Others are Bidemi Zakariyau, 28, founder, LSF|PR; Akinwande Durojaye, 28, founder, JustBrandIt; FixMyRide and co-founder, FueledUp, LashBells; Gozie Coker, 29, founder, Coker Creative.
No less than eleven Nigerians have been honoured in the technology world. They include Chris Kwekowe, 25 and Emerald Kwekowe, 21, founders, Slatecube; Kola Olajide, 26, co-founder, Bridge Labs; Olaoluwa Samuel-Biyi, 27, co-founder, SureGifts and director, SureRemit; Mahmood Oyewo, 26, co-founder, RubiQube; and Sunkanmi Ola, 22, founder, Syracuse Digital.
Other honourees who made the list are Ink Eze, 28, founder, AsoEbiBella; Maya Horgan Famodu, 27, founder, Ingressive; Leonard Stiegeler, 29, co-founder, Zanda, Jumia and director, Ringer Africa AG; Timothy Adeleye, 29, founder, Optiweb Communications; and Obinna Okwodu, 27, founder, Fibre.
Describing the honourees who made the list including those from other countries like Angola, Tanzania, South Africa, among others, Forbes Africa said they are individuals who have the “fire and fury to change the world.”
