The Nigerian Army has begun the renovation of health facilities in Taraba State.
The ongoing renovation was inspected by the Commander 23 Brigade Brig Gen BA Muhammad.
The renovation includes a primary health care facility and construction of solar power water project in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State; which is part of Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities lined up for Exercise Ayem Akpatuma.
According to the Nigerian Army, the renovated facility when completed will be handed over to Taraba State Government on 13 May 2018 as part of activities to end the exercise in the state.
In support of the exercise, a medical outreach and town hall meetings were also held in the State.
The 2-day outreach exercise which held at the East Primary School in Wukari local government area had 1,368 persons treated for various ailments.
