Nigerian Varsity Represents at CFA research challenge In Dublin

A Nigerian private University, Covenant University, has emerged first winner and qualified to represent Nigeria at the regional level of CFA Institute research challenge.

The CFA Institute research challenge is an annual global competition which provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis. It is geared towards promoting best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts.

The CFA Institute research is the world most prestigious investment research competition among university students, NAN reports. The competition was sponsored in Nigeria by Zenith Bank in partnership with CFA Society in Nigeria.

Covenant University qualified Saturday 3 February 2018 to represent Nigeria at the regional level which is to hold in Dublin, Ireland, on 4 and 5 April 2018. The University beat the University of Lagos and ObafemiAwolowo University which came second and third places respectively.

Other universities among the eight which took part in the competition were University of Ibadan, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, University of Abuja, and Lagos Business School.

The last year’s edition of the competition was won by America’s regional champions; students of Barna Business School, Dominican Republic.
