Nigeria’s Stephen Eze Named Man of the Match Against Libya

Stephen Eze, home-based Super Eagles defender,  was voted man of the match in his side’s 1-0 win against Libya at the African Nations Championship on Friday.

Eze, who has penned a two-year contract with Bulgarian club Locomotiv Plovdiv and will link up with the club after Chan, put up a fine performance in the encounter.

The centre-back was an imposing figure at the heart of the home eagles’ defence and barely put a foot wrong in the game.

His performance did not go unnoticed as he was duly picked as the best of the game by the organisers.

He was also outstanding in the team’s first game against Rwanda where he came close to registering a goal.

The defender is also among the four players that were part of Nigeria’s squad at Chan 2016.
