Wow!!! I’ve missed this platform so much and it feels good to be back, especially as people like me prepare for this festive season and the goodies that come with it- financially and ‘otherwise’ (clears throat). Entertainers like us always look forward to seasons like these, so don’t blame us if we get too excited.

In the short while I have been away from here, so many things have happened especially positively and I’ll love to extend this positivity into this week’s article as many thoughts have been in my ‘big head’ recently, and I’ll love to share some of them with you guys, then subsequently, in future articles, I can return to the serious version of me.

So, I’ve been thinking recently- why are disc jockeys still referred to in that nomenclature (Big word abi? Go check your dictionary). Everyone seems to be oblivious to the fact that Compact Discs (CDs) are constantly being relegated to the background. Just take a look around you, and you will notice that the world is speedily going digital with the likes of MP3s, Ipads and pods, memory cards and flash drives, you can now store up huge number of songs on a device that is smaller than a CD.
